The village is only 10 minutes drive to the newly constructed bridge into Romania and the same distance to the river Danube. The garden has fruit trees and organically grown fruit and vegetables. The area boasts many cultural and historical sites as well as walking, bird watching, cycling and tours of the area. Romania can be explored both by car and a local ferry service from Vidin. There are river tours available from Vidin which is set on the river Danube and a perfect place for fishing and swimming with small beaches. The Danube is very beautiful and attracts painters and artists.A river restaurant boat can be found on the banks of the river. Very close to this area are museums and parks and the University of Vidin. ![]() Surrounding AreasThe Baba Vida FortressThe Baba Vida Fortress was built upon the foundations of the ancient fortress of Bononia upon the ruins of an ancient Thracian settlement in the early 1 century AD. The castle is situated right on the banks of the river Danube and has a 9.5 acre surrounding area. The castle has a nearly square shape with its four corners pointing out at the four geographical directions. ![]() The Belogradchik RocksBelogradchik with its very unusual rock formations and fortress is one of the most attractive national tourism sites of Bulgaria.It is picturesquely spread over the western part of the Stara Planina Mountain at 545m above sea level.
